Watford vs Tottenham Hotspur | Preview

Watford welcome Tottenham Hotspur at Vicarage Road as both team have been quick out of the blocks this season with maximum points from their first three games.

Mauricio Pochettino's side exhibited an outstanding form on Monday night, with two goals from Lucas Moura securing a 3-0 against Manchester United, one of their biggest victories at Old Trafford.

But Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has warned his side they will suffer if they start to believe they are the real deal after their impressive win at Old Trafford.

The big news is, against Watford, Tottenham are without Hugo Lloris due to a thigh injury and Moussa Sissoko with a hamstring problem.

Son Heung-min is still absent on Sunday for his international duty with South Korea while Erik Lamela faces a late fitness test.

"We're going to play on Sunday against a very good team - a team that's going to fight and is in a very good moment," said Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.

"After three games they're over the moon. Of course if we're not ready and we believe because we beat Manchester United 3-0 that all is fantastic, I think we are going to crash."

Meanwhile, Watford are in a dream start to the new season. Last Sunday's 2-1 win at home to Crystal Palace made it nine points from three matches.

Javi Gracia's Hornets had already beaten Burnley and Brighton to leave them among high-flying teams in the upper ladder of the EPL table.

Losing Richarlison was a blow to Watford but the likes of Etienne Capoue and Abdoulaye Doucoure still being at the club is a big plus.

Watford coach Javi Gracia said, "It has always been difficult from the first day. They played well in the Carabao Cup because they are good professionals and they have trained very well from the first day.

"It has been difficult for me having to choose 18 players and only 11 in the line-up. It's very difficult to choose and leave some players out of the team."

So surely, the Hornets will provide Spurs defence with a real test and won't sit back, so this should be an entertaining and open game of football.
