Squash: Indian women’s team through to gold medal match
Indian upset top seed Malaysia in women’s team event to enter the Asian Games final for the second consecutive time but this time they would be looking to converting their last edition’s silver medal to gold in Indonesia.
India progressed to finals by beating the defending champions Malaysia in straight sets 2-0, where Joshna Chinappa defeated 5-times singles Asiad champion (and long-time nemesis) Nicol David 12-10, 11-9, 6-11, 10-12, 11-9 to give India a 1-0 and following that Dipika Pallikal also tasted success in her match to take her team into the finals for one more time.
