Riyad Mahrez fit for Community Shield match against Chelsea

Riyad Mahrez got injured in the first half of Manchester City’s preseason game Miami by a tackle from Chris Richards. The new Manchester City’s signing was pictured in protective boot after the match.

A statement released by Manchester City said Mahrez has been given the all-clear to return to training later this week. “A scan has revealed no significant damage," said the statement.

"Mahrez could be available for selection for this weekend's Community Shield against Chelsea", according to the Premier League champions.” said the Premier League Champions.

Manchester City are set to face, FA Cup winners Chelsea in the Community Shield, on Sunday, ISD 7.30 pm.
