Cricket has been in the Frey for more than a century and half now, and over the years we have seen players improvising with the bat, ball and even while fielding to get the better of the opponents while in the ground.
Bolwers such as Paul Adams, Sohail Tanveer, Lasith Malinga, Muralitharan to India’s very own Jasprit Bumrah are some of the bowlers who have bamboozled the best of batsmen through their unconventional action.
While batsman such as Ab de Villiers, Brendon McCullum, Rohit Sharma have constantly countered such challenges thrown to them with an array of shots of their own.
Recently, the International Cricket Council’s official Twitter account shared a clip of Botswana’s Mmoloki Mooketsi,who was spotted bowling by a unique run-up which created a buzz on social media.
The clip is from the ICC World Twenty20 Africa Region Qualifier C at Gaborone played on October 28 – 2018, in a match held between Botswana and Mozambique.
Botswana scored 171 for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. Mozambique couldn’t even manage to put up half a fight with the bat as they got humbled for just 48 runs.
Mmoloki Mooketsi scalped 2 wickets in his 3 overs, while giving away just seven runs.
